The amazing red wines of Seven Generations - Merlot 2012, Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, Cabernet Franc 2013 and Cuvee 2012 have won 11 gold and silver medals from the largest prestigious worldwide recognized wine competitions MUNDUS VINI (Germany), AWC Vienna (Austria), The San Francisco International Wine Competition (USA) and The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (Belgium) in 2016. The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles has more than 20 years of experience that have enabled the competition to become a benchmark amongst international wine contests. This unique event is known and recognised by the wine industry and consumers worldwide.
Organizing the competition in a different country every year enhances the event’s international scope and provides better exposure for award winning wines worldwide. For 2016 the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles has chosen Plovdiv, Bulgaria for the wine event.
This year оver 8,750 wine samples from 51 producer countries entered the competition. Some of the world’s foremost tasters sommeliers, buyers, importers, journalists and wine writers – in all, 320 wine tasters representing 54 nationalities gathered for 3 days to judge entries.
As a result Seven Generations Winery received another big recognition a SILVER MEDAL for Seven Generations Cabernet Sauvignon 2012.
The largest and most influential international wine competition in America, the San Francisco International Wine Competition (SFIWC) maintains the highest level of integrity with a blindtasting system performed by a highly experienced internationally acclaimed wine experts.
During the first round of tastings, each wine is judged on its own merits, within the context of its own class. Judges are provided with information on varietal and vintage, but otherwise receive no information that might bias their decisions about which entries are worthy of Bronze, Silver, or Gold medals.
A SFIWC medal has been established as a reliable indication of wine excellence, and wines recognized as medalworthy by the judges are universally understood to be among the very best.
This year for its 36th birthday, the 2016 Competition was held on June 9th to 12th at San Francisco, California. More than 4,000 wines submitted from around the world joined the challenge. The wines of Seven Generations winery were awarded with three medals:

In August this year the 19th Grand International Wine Award MUNDUS VINI took place in Neustadt, Germany. The International Wine Award was first held in 2001 and until today it has become one of the most important wine events in Germany, prestigiously recognized in the whole world.
This year there was a huge variety of more than 4,300 different wines from all over the world. The wines were tasted and judged by an international jury of 150 wine experts from 38 countries comprising oenologists, winemakers, professional wine traders, sommeliers and expert journalists.
The wine samples were arranged in a tasting according to their product category, origin, quality level and flavour, and evaluated in accordance with the international 100-point scheme of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), also recognised by the Union Internationale des Oenologues (UIOE).

But our wines’ recognitions don't stop here. Seven Generations Winery participated also in this year’s wine competition AWC in Vienna.
The international leader of quality awards for wine AWC in Vienna is the largest officially recognized wine competition in the world.
Due to the absolute blind tasting system and the strict tasting rules AWC Vienna is the most challenging of the world’s renowned wine tasting competitions. All wines are tasted at the Federal College and Office of Viticulture and Pomology in Klosterneuburg, in single cabins and anonymously by an international jury of national and international oenologists, wine experts, sommeliers, gastronomers, wine traders and journalists.
This offers a fair chance for every wine! Wines are rated according to the international 100 points system. This way AWC Vienna is establishing the highest standards to honour the continuously raising quality requirements in the world of wine.
This year, on its 13th birthday, AWC Vienna made an absolute world record - 12,826 wines from 1,866 producers out of 41 countries faced the international challenge in 2016!
